In recent years, as interest in DX has increased, attention has been focused on digital twin technology, which reproduces the real environment on a computer based on large amounts of data obtained from IoT sensors. However, when there is a lack of data, it is not possible to create an environment that accurately reproduces reality, and prediction accuracy tends to decrease.
This business alliance combines BIRD's cutting-edge AI technology and CTC's simulation and system construction technology to create a digital technology that accurately reproduces reality even with small amounts of data, making it possible to predict the future and derive optimal solutions. The aim is to provide a twin solution.
AI learns the characteristics of data, making it possible to quickly create a virtual space that accurately reproduces reality. In addition, in virtual space, simulations can be performed while adjusting various parameters, and the optimal production plan for the factory can be verified in advance. By feeding back the results to reality, we shorten the time required for analysis and contribute to our customers' DX.
BIRD is a company established with the investment of six companies, including business companies, financial companies, and academia, to create new businesses through "co-creative R&D." We are promoting a new R&D system called "co-creative R&D," in which issues and technologies are brought together by industry, government, and academia, and are engaged in businesses such as R&D, contract research, consulting, and investment related to digital technology. .
CTC is a system integrator that combines advanced IT solutions and the cloud to solve customer issues. In simulation, we have over 60 years of experience in a variety of fields, including production lines in the manufacturing industry, distribution center staffing, and traffic simulation. In a digital twin demonstration experiment on a production line in collaboration with BIRD related to this collaboration, we were able to reduce the time required to verify investment effectiveness by 92%.
Going forward, both companies will work together to proactively develop services and cultivate new customers by leveraging their respective strengths in their respective business fields.
