A joint seminar will be held on December 15, 2021 from 15:00 to 16:30.
Drone logistics has the potential to solve problems such as worsening access to medical care and disruption of logistics networks that are occurring in various parts of Japan where depopulation is progressing.
In particular, online medical treatment is one trump card in addressing the deterioration of medical access, but the delivery of prescription drugs, which is an issue, can be solved with drone logistics.
In this seminar, we will introduce Japan's first drone demonstration experiment that complies with the "Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Delivery by Drone" published by the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
We will also introduce "drone takeoff and landing at airports" to connect air cargo and drone logistics, and the operation management (UTM) that supports these.
Taking off and landing at an airport was achieved for the first time in Japan by making appropriate adjustments based on the law.
In addition, regarding UTM, we conducted Japan's first verification of decentralized UTM, which is being standardized (ASTM) in Europe and the United States, and verified the unique AI automatic negotiation that operates on top of it.
※ These were conducted in Wakkanai as part of the NEDO DRESS project regional demonstration and included poaching monitoring and seal monitoring using drones.
