As a group of professionals in the digital age whose mission is to solve social issues by building an R&D ecosystem and commercializing promising technologies as quickly as possible, we handle a variety of information, including technical information and data entrusted to us by our customers. As a company whose key value offering is digital innovation, we recognize that ensuring the safety of data and information handling is the most important initiative in gaining and maintaining society's trust. Therefore, we have compiled and published a policy for handling personal information entrusted to us by our business partners.

・Scope of application

This policy defines how we handle personal information that we handle in the course of our business activities. Handling of personal information not disclosed in this policy will be carried out in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations (including laws and regulations of foreign countries).

・Purpose of acquisition and use

In connection with its business activities, the Company will acquire and use personal information only to the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes:

  2. Contacting you or your customers for business negotiations or meetings

When obtaining personal information directly from an individual in writing (including by email, filling out a company website, or other electromagnetic means), we will clearly state the purpose of use to the individual in advance, unless otherwise required by law.

• Provided by a third party

We will not provide personal information of individuals to third parties without their prior consent, except in the following cases:

  1. When required by law, etc.
  2. When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
  3. When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy child development, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.

We may provide your personal information to our shareholders or affiliated companies to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes described in "Purpose of Acquisition and Use" above.

・Handling of specific personal information

  1. In relation to its business activities, the Company will comply with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (hereinafter referred to as the "Number Act"), the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and the Guidelines for the Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information (for Businesses) with regard to specific personal information.
  2. Our company will acquire and use specific personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose, within the scope of use of specific personal information, which is to carry out administrative procedures related to social security, taxes, and disaster prevention measures as stipulated in each item of Article 9 of the Numbering Act.
  3. The main scope of use of specific personal information handled by our company is as follows:
    1. The Company receives specific personal information, fills it in withholding slips for employment income and retirement income, salary payment reports, employment insurance notifications, health insurance and employee pension insurance qualification acquisition notifications, and other legally required documents, and submits them to the tax office chief, mayor of the city, town or village, the Japan Pension Service, etc.
    2. The process in which the Company receives specific personal information, records it in various payment records such as payment records for remuneration, fees, etc., payment records for dividends, surplus distributions and interest on funds, payment records for real estate usage fees, etc., and payment records for consideration for the transfer of real estate, etc., and submits them to the tax office director.
    3. To carry out business entrusted to us by government agencies or other businesses that involves handling specific personal information
  4. Regarding specific personal information, we will not provide your specific personal information to a third party unless required by law, etc. We will not jointly use your information. However, we may provide specific personal information in any of the cases set out in Article 19 of the Numbering Act (Restrictions on the provision of specific personal information).
  5. We may outsource the handling of specific personal information within the scope of the purposes of use stipulated by laws and regulations.
  6. Requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, suspension of provision to third parties, or notification of the purpose of use of specific personal information held by our company, or complaints, shall be made in accordance with our "Requests for Disclosure, etc. of Personal Information, or Complaints."
